Traditional PI film has higher surface glossiness and transparency, which will cause glare or astigmatism due to light reflection and easy interpretation of circuit design distribution and copied by peers, so PI film is required to have the characteristics of low glossiness, low light transmission and insulation. low glossiness can make the original appearance more textured and aesthetic, while insulation and low light transmission can protect the internal circuit design.

There are two methods for making black PI films:

1) Various shading substances such as carbon black, graphite, metal oxide, aniline black, and other inorganic or organic dyes are coated on ordinary PI films;

2) Adding shading substance to PI resin, casting, drying, and imidizing at high temperature.
